Alabama governor issues shelter-in-place order starting Saturday night

Alabama will be under a stay-at-home order starting at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey and State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris Friday issued the requirement that Alabama residents to stay at home except for “essential activities” starting Saturday night. The state will make another determination of whether to extend the order before April 30.
