Recently, Governor Kay Ivey partnered with the Alabama Department of Public Health to launch a volunteer program titled Alabama ReadyOp and is seeking health care professionals to assist as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
In the program the information of volunteers and reserve staff members is collected and sent to healthcare professionals in the event that they are needed as they provide assistance during the outbreak.
The program is also looking for health care professionals who are recently retired or part-time, as well as medical students and lay people to sign up. Healthcare providers whose offices have been closed are also being sought.
