Sealed bids will be received until Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Craig Field Airport and Industrial Authority located at 48 5th Street, Selma, Alabama 36701 and at said time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for: TAXILANE REHABILITATION at Craig Field Airport. Major items of work include: Taxi lane Striping, concrete spall repair, joint repair, and lighting.
Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc., 207 Church Street, Andalusia, Alabama 36420; Attn: Patsy Stinson; Ph: 334-271-3200; Email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a one-time administrative fee of $20.00 for digital access/file sharing access and/or payment of $50.00 for each printed set. Said cost represents the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution, therefore no refund will be granted. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed $50,000. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to the Craig Field Airport and Industrial Authority.
All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying the license number on the outside of the envelope in which the Proposal is delivered. “A contractor must have a Heavy and Railroad major license or a Heavy and Railroad specialty license to bid as prime for this project.”
Bids may be held by the Craig Field Airport and Industrial Authority for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract.
Award of contract is subject to requirements in the contract documents including, but not limited to, the following Federal provisions:
