The Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Selma is applying for FY 2022 Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Funds, DWSRF Project No. FS010256-04 for improvements to the water system, including replacement of lead service lines at various locations throughout the City.  An Environmental Information Document has been prepared for the project which can be reviewed by the public during normal business hours at the Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Selma office located in Selma, Alabama.  Office hours are 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1600 Selma Avenue, Selma, Alabama.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE 

The Dallas County Commission will hold a public hearing on August 8, 2022, at 4:00 pm at the Dallas County Commission Chambers, at 102 Church Street, Selma, AL 36702 to discuss a proposed change to County’s Community Development Block Grant (CV-NC-20-017). The original purpose of the project was to construct isolation cells at the Dallas County Jail to protect inmates from the spread of COVID-19. This project was bid out on June 9, 2022 and the only bid received was 3 times the grant construction budget.  As a result, the Commission would like to propose changing the scope of this grant to purchase critical medical equipment for Vaughn Hospital, Dallas County facilities, and the Volunteer Fire Departments serving Dallas County. This project will benefit all the residents of Dallas County, including the 51.9% low-to-moderate income residents.
