An arrest has been made in the March 5 shooting that took the lives of two people on Cummings Circle.
Micheal Latrell Brown, 22, was arrested March 6 and charged with two counts of capital murder, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and one account of assault in the second degree, according to a Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford. Brown is being held without bond.
Brown is accused of a shooting in 100 block of Cummings Circle on March 5 at about 11 p.m. Fulford identified the victims as 24-year-old Cameron Struggs, who was pronounced dead on scene from gunshot wounds, and 24-year-old Lakin Smith, who died at Vaughan Regional Medical Center from gunshot wounds.
A 16-year-old female also sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to Fulford.
Brown is also accused of shooting into the vehicles of 24-year-old Deonte Olds and 24-year-old Edrena Hawkins. Detectives were able to identify witnesses to the incident and learned that Brown was the primary shooter.
