For a little over a year the Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA) has been partnering with other nonprofits Interise and Vivian’s Door to help develop minority and women-owned businesses in the state.

In August 2021 Interise was active in Alabama with the graduation of a cohort of 15 Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises. BBA launched Small Business Advisory Services in an effort to connect buyers with suppliers in the marketplace.

Vivian's Door held a day of networking under its program titled Leadership in Equitable Anchor Procurement (LEAP).

LEAP is a partnership of Vivian's Door and Interise to grow small businesses in the Gulf Coast, and South and Central Alabama. More information about LEAP can be found here
