A gas station in Plantersville posted on social media that it is closing for two weeks after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The Plantersville Mini Mart said on Facebook that closing is “drastic” but they are choosing to take precautions before they are ordered to close to protect employees and customers.

The store said each employee will self quarantine and the store is being sanitized. The employee with COVID-19 is quarantined at home and in “stable” condition.

“We thank you for your business, support and understanding during these trying times,” the store said in a statement. “We look forward to seeing you on April 21, 2020.”

The store’s gas pumps are still open 24 hours for credit and debit card transactions.

Dallas County has seven coronavirus cases reported with 71 tests given and no deaths so far.
