On Thursday, May 21 several Selma organizations will partner to hold a food distribution titled “Operation Fresh Food” at Selma High School.
The distribution is a collaboration of the Selma Center for Nonviolence, Black Belt Community Foundation, Selma City Schools, Gospel Tabernacle Church, and the Selma Housing Authority.
Fresh fruits and vegetables will be delivered from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. via drive-thru at the high school. Other dates for distribution are May 28, June 4, June 11, June 18 and June 25.
Anyone who is interested in volunteering can sign up by texting their name and the word, “Volunteer” to 334-339-3599. Those who are disabled or are over the age of 65 can call this number to have food delivered via contactless delivery.
