Thursday COVID count: Dallas County reports 841 cases

Dallas County reported 841 cases as of Thursday night, and the county reported an additional death to reach nine.

Dallas County is listed as a “very high risk” county – the most severe level – on a new COVID-19 risk status chart introduced Tuesday by the Alabama Department of Public Health. See the new COVID-19 Risk Indicator Dashboard here

There are currently 39,300 confirmed cases in Alabama, an increase of 1,000 from Wednesday, and 981 reported deaths related to the virus. More than 430,000 tests were conducted as of July 3, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
