Vaughan CEO: We’re meeting COVID challenge, but situation may go on ‘forever’

The good news is that Vaughan Regional Medical Center is meeting the challenge of treating COVID-19 patients in Dallas and surrounding counties.  The bad news is that administrators feel like this situation will go on “forever.” 

“This isn’t going away,” Vaughan CEO David McCormack said, referring to the ongoing coronavirus. “The way it’s looking, it looks like we’ll have to hold out forever.” 

Dallas County has reported almost 1,150 cases and 13 deaths related to COVID-19.
On Monday, McCormack said all 10 ICU beds were filled.
