Wednesday COVID count: Dallas County reports 918 cases

Dallas County reported 918 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Thursday morning.

Cases have risen 206 in the last 14 days, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health Infectious Diseases & Outbreaks Division. The death rate remains at nine.

Dallas County remains in the state’s category “high risk” – the second most severe level – on the COVID-19 risk status indicator by the Alabama Department of Public Health. See the new COVID-19 Risk Indicator Dashboard here

There are currently 46,400 confirmed cases in Alabama, an increase of 1,000 from Monday, and 1,032 related to the virus. More than 467,000 tests were conducted as of July 8, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
